Expert Staffing West is seeking a Quality Inspector for a leading manufacturer in the city of Vista, California.
3rd Shift: Monday - Friday
Time: 10:00pm - 6:30am
Pay: $23/hr. - $25/hr.
Job Summary: Operate injection molding machines following instructions and written requirements. Collect parts inspect, separate, and package as required per requirements. Separate and document are known defective parts on required forms. Inform Assistant Lead, Lead, or Technician when defects exceed allowable amounts. Assist the Shift Supervisor and Lead Operator with covering for breaks and lunches.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:

• Promote and foster team spirit and communication with co-workers and other departments.
• Maintain and promote the QUALITY POLICY and workmanship standards.
• Maintain a neat appearance and work area at all times.
• Comes to work prepared with appropriate clothing.
• Perform receiving, in process, final shipping inspection and test functions when required.
• Read, interpret, and apply engineering and process documentation, and workmanship standards, as required.
• Perform first article inspections per ISO 9001 and ISO 13485
• Perform SPC for critical dimensions
• Must have basic computer skills
• Works in conjunction with the Production Lead to satisfy QUALITY requirements.
• Maintain communication with ALL shifts.
• Set-up and operate test equipment, as required, to accurately test and measure received, in process and final product.
• Perform physical, dimensional, and visual inspections.
• Review and validate quality records, work instructions and daily inspection reports for completeness and accuracy.
• Prepare record of inspection documentation and test reports and documentation.
• Accurately makes entries on work orders, and all other reports and documentation.
• Documents non-conformances on non-conformance report (NCMR) neatly accurately, explaining the nature of the non-conformance so that the appropriate personnel can understand the problem/s.
• Move all non-conforming parts and/or sub-assemblies, to designated area/s.
• Communicate errors or discrepancies in drawings, checklists, procedures, work orders, equipment, etc. that may be recognized within the area of responsibility.
• Must be familiar with and able to properly use the following tools: Smart scope, Comparator, digital and dial micrometers, digital and gage calipers, height gages, use of jo- blocks, pin gages, taper gages, thread gages, 6” rule; to name a few but not limited to.
