**Responsibilities** **Responsibilities:** Bring your passion for oncology and patient care to the outpatient infusion center at Dignity Health Cancer Institute at St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center. As a pharmacy technician you will be part of a growing program on the forefront of cancer treatment. We are looking for someone that is a great communicator, detail oriented, self-motivated, and able to problem solve through critical thinking. Pharmacy technicians work under the supervision of a pharmacist. They perform drug distribution activities including: servicing Omnicell machines and delivering medications to the clinics and infusion suite. They also perform sterile and non-sterile compounding of medications, including hazardous drugs, following USP <795> , USP <797> and USP <800> . Pharmacy technicians will be cross-trained to work in the areas of outpatient infusion, retail and research. **Qualifications** **REQUIREMENTS:** High school diploma or GED equivalent Two years of IV room compounding experience including hazardous medications or completion of appropriate training program Registered Pharmacy Technician in State of Arizona **PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:** Experience with handling and dispensing of parenteral chemotherapy Experience with investigational protocols and medications **Overview** Hello humankindness ( Located conveniently in the heart of Phoenix, Arizona, ( St. Joseph's Hospital and Medical Center is a 571-bed, not-for-profit hospital that provides a wide range of health, social and support services.
