Job Description
Alive and Well, a Functional Medicine Clinic and Wellness Center, is seeking Certified, exceptional Health Coaches to support our growing Longevity and Optimization practice. We are a passionate team of practitioners with varying backgrounds in functional medicine, nutrition and health coaching who help people live their most vibrant lives.
As a health coach, you will work closely with our medical team to help patients implement wellness and health optimization plans to achieve their health goals. You will mindfully coach to help people incorporate nutrition, sleep, movement and stress management in a sustainable way in their daily lives. You will serve as the primary liaison between patients and the Alive and Well team to provide patients with a high touch and elevated level of care. You'll welcome each new patient and assess initial and ongoing biomarkers using Inbody Scan, our VO2max system, our grip strength tester, Oura ring/Whoop/Apple watch, continuous glucose monitors and more. You'll be well versed in holistic therapies that our Wellness Center provides to make recommendations to help super charge and support health.
Requirements:
– Certified Health Coach, with minimum of 1-2 years full-time experience of coaching a personalized approach to optimize health using nutrition, lifestyle, sleep and movement as foundations. Able to set macros and interpret macro nutrition reports and help patients practice good blood sugar regulation. Able to create structure for movement to build muscle, reduce fat mass et al.
– Passion for all things that are longevity focused. Be able to use tools such as Oura, Whoop, Continuous Glucose monitors, Inbody Scan and VO2max to gather data and measure patient's progress towards their goals. Follow thought leaders in the longevity space to be able to converse regarding peptides, nanoparticles such as exosomes and stem cells and benefits of hormesis (sauna, cold plunge), red light (mitochondrial health and recovery), IV Vitamin therapy and peptides).
– Be able to support patients using GLP-1 peptides so that patients maintain muscle mass, lose fat, have good digestion and are successful with weight loss and weight management.
– Be energetic, outgoing, positive and compassionate with the ability to nurture a collaborative relationship with patients.
– Have a working understanding of relevant lab results, hormone function and supplementation.
– Embrace technology and ready to utilize our ERM (Cerbo) as well as social media platforms and macro trackers (Chronometer/My Fitness Pal) to work with patients.
– Work well with others and in teams and be extremely curious to know more in the field of longevity and health optimization.
– Be a self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
