Job Title: IT Security Engineer- CI/CD & Application Security Automation
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $110,000 - $167,000 annually
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. with some evenings and weekends as needed.
Seeking an experienced IT Security Professional with strong expertise in CI/CD pipelines, automation, and application security scanning. This role will focus on integrating security into the software development lifecycle by designing and implementing automated security checks to ensure secure, reliable, and compliant applications.
Key Responsibilities: - Design, implement, and maintain automated security scanning tools within CI/CD pipelines.
- Integrate application security testing tools into build and deployment workflows.
- Collaborate with software engineers, DevOps, and QA teams to embed security best practices into development processes.
- Monitor and analyze security scan results, triage findings, and support developers in remediation.
- Automate repetitive security checks to reduce manual effort to improve response times.
- Maintain and optimize infrastructure for vulnerability management, logging, and reporting.
- Stay current on security trends, emerging vulnerabilities, and compliance requirements.
- Contribute to security governance and risk management initiatives across the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications: - Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT security, DevSecOps, or related field.
- Strong knowledge of CI/CD platforms.
- Hands-on experience automating application security scanning.
- Solid understanding of application security principles, OWAP top 10, and secure coding practices.
- Familiarity with containerization and cloud security.
- Scripting/Automation skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications: - Security certifications such as CISSP, CEH, GIAC or OSCP.
- Experience with infrastucture-as-code security scanning.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks.
- Background in software development with security-first mindset.
